Stay In A Timeshare Condominium During Your Next Leave

Personnel affiliated with the Department of Defense are eligible for many benefits, some of which pertain to travel. In addition to military discounts for airline tickets, service members and their families can take advantage of condominium timeshare rentals through the Armed Forces Vacation Club (AFVC). These are offered on a space available basis at more than 4,000 locations in more than 100 countries.
Prices are set at $369 for a seven-night vacation rental, with additional fees for some all-inclusive or luxury resorts. Accommodations are typically only available on short notice (ten days or less) and during the offseason. Though the resorts are timeshares, service members are not required to attend a timeshare presentation, though they can if one is offered.
Active and retired Armed Forces members, employees of the Department of the Defense, and certain civilian employees performing military support roles are eligible for this program. Destinations include the U.S., Europe, South America, and Mexico. The typical condo features a full kitchen with major appliances and some accommodations include a patio or balcony and a washer and dryer.
Many of the included resorts offer a game room, fitness center, swimming pool, on-site recreational facilities, organized activities, and a restaurant. Skiing or golf may be available and most resorts are located in an area with many local attractions. Travelers can explore the area on their own or participate in an excursion package offered through the resort.

They avoid the crowds and prices during the high season, making their vacation more enjoyable and affordable.
